Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) carefully before using the pagenorma web application, progressive web app (PWA), and desktop applications (collectively, the “Service”) operated by pagenorma (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

pagenorma is a specialized translation management software offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) suite. The platform provides tools for:

  • Translation project management, volume metrics, and deadline pacing.
  • Financial analytics, fee calculations, and deduction tracking for sole proprietorships and freelance contracts.
  • Source-to-target text analysis, terminology glossaries, concordance lookup, synonym discovery, and AI-assisted stylistic reviews.
  • Cross-platform operation supporting all Latin-script language pairs.
  • pagenorma is temporarily offered free of charge without functional limitations. We reserve the right to introduce tiered service plans. Core functionality will remain accessible under a free tier, while enhanced features may require an active pagenorma QS subscription.

2. User Accounts and Authentication

To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to authenticate using third-party services, such as Google Identity Toolkit / Google OAuth.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials and account access.
  • You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions, Promotions, and Payments

pagenorma is temporarily offered free of charge without functional limitations. We reserve the right to introduce tiered service plans. Core functionality will remain accessible under a free tier, while enhanced features may require an active pagenorma QS subscription.

4. User Data and Cloud Synchronization

4.1 Storage and Privacy

The Service operates on an Offline-First architecture. Local data is stored within your browser environment (IndexedDB). Synchronization features utilize secure cloud services (Google Drive / Firebase) under your explicit authorization.

4.2 Confidentiality of Source Material

We respect the confidentiality of your translation assets, literary works, and glossaries. We do not claim ownership of any content, documents, or data you import or process within the Service. You retain all intellectual property rights to your work.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service or help anyone else do so. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses.
  • Attempt to bypass or circumvent server-side security rules, paywalls, or subscription verification systems.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international laws.

6. AI Assistance and Disclaimers

Features in pagenorma that utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) for translation commentary, stylistic feedback, or glossary consistency checks are designed as supplemental productivity tools:

  • AI-generated outputs do not constitute professional legal, linguistic, or commercial guarantees.
  • You remain fully responsible for the final quality, accuracy, and compliance of your translated or proofread texts.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, interface designs, custom SVG icons, branding, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of pagenorma and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall pagenorma, its operators, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses—resulting from:

  1. Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
  2. Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
  3. Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide notice prior to any new terms taking effect (e.g., through an in-app notice or website update). What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
